Angela “Angie” Henzman joined and administered a county Nasty Women group, was elected LaPorte County Democratic Party chair in 2022, and organized a 2025 Michigan City demonstration. Her Facebook activity includes a call to attend the LaPorte No Kings rally and a shared NWI Resistance crowd estimate. A Stonewall Democrats of NWI post named her to its board. National No Kings ties involving DSA and Indivisible provide political context, but do not identify Henzman as a DSA member or a local DSA organizer.

Angie Henzman chaired the county Democratic Party, organized a Michigan City protest, and used Facebook to promote the LaPorte No Kings rally.

Henzman’s Democratic Party and local organizing roles

Local reporting says Henzman joined the county Nasty Women group and became an administrator in 2020. LaPorte County Democratic precinct committeepersons elected her county party chair on December 14, 2022. She resigned effective May 13, 2024 to focus on her clerk campaign. A February 2025 report also identified her as an organizer of Michigan City’s Not My President’s Day demonstration.

The public Nasty Women of LaPorte County Allies Facebook group displayed Henzman as an administrator when reviewed on October 19, 2026. Facebook posts from 2020 appeared under the heading “Nasty Women of LaPorte County Allies, Angie Henzman.”

Stonewall Democrats of NWI and Hoosier Women Forward

Stonewall Democrats of NWI named Henzman to its board in a July 1 Facebook post that called the group “my exceptional board.” Indiana Stonewall Democrats is an LGBTQ+ constituency caucus of the Indiana Democratic Party. The post does not display a year or establish a current roster.

Hoosier Women Forward’s Class Seven announcement identifies Ashley Polomchak, not Henzman, as a participant and as founder and chair of Stonewall Democrats of NWI.

Henzman’s No Kings posts and national coalition context

On October 13, 2025, Henzman posted a call to attend the October 18 LaPorte No Kings rally: “LaPorte County let’s go! Share and invite your friends. We need everyone!” Local reporting confirms that the rally took place. Henzman also shared NWI Resistance’s attendance claim, “LaPorte County showed up! 2000 strong voices for Democracy!!!”; the count is NWI Resistance’s claim, not her own reported count.

At the national level, DSA said it participated in No Kings protests, and the No Kings partners page lists both DSA and Indivisible. Indivisible requires registered groups to commit to remaking democracy, progressive values, collaboration, strategic organizing, and nonviolence; its guide also discusses strengthening Democratic candidates and weakening Republican opponents. Those positions provide the coalition’s political context, not evidence that Henzman joined DSA or an Indivisible group.

DSA is a separate organization

DSA has its own membership and endorsement processes. The sources here identify Henzman’s Democratic Party office, local organizing, Facebook posts, and Stonewall board mention; they do not identify a DSA membership or position for her.

Additional context

The July 1 Stonewall post does not display its year or a current roster.

National No Kings partner listings do not identify a local organizer or Henzman’s DSA membership.
